100 Days Of Decluttering - Where do I go on from now?

I have wanted to write this post for some time now but I wasn't really sure how I could put all my feeling about my "100 Days of Decluttering Challenge" into words.

I feel that I am still reaping the benefits from being on a spending ban (as you can see by my empties #1#2 and #3). Finishing all these products feels great! My stash of stuff is getting smaller by the day and by using up these products that aren't cruelty free I have managed to replace these items with cruelty free items. An overall success!

Another positive point that I have realized during the 100 days is that owning many things doesn't make me happy. Clutter makes me unhappy and it drains my creativity. I never really realized how much stuff I have until I started going through it all and let me tell you, I was overwhelmed by all the things that I have.

Getting rid of stuff felt amazing and very liberating. I want to keep feeling that way, I don't want to live in clutter! I want to be clutter free!

The problem that I used to have (and probably still have) is that I keep on buying things I want instead of just the things I need. No one really needs four different dark blue nail-polishes, I definitely don't. I don't need more than one blush, mascara, or pretty much anything. I don't need more than one red lipstick or lip gloss. And don't get me started of the amount of purple eye liners I have. I don't need that much make-up!

Therefore, I plan on keeping up my decluttering and avoid buying anything that I don't need and keep up this attitude.

You might wonder how I plan on keeping this blog going if I am not going to be buying new stuff frequently. Well, I am going to keep on doing things as I have in the past. I don't believe beauty blogs have to be about all the newest stuff when it comes out or relentless reviews. I believe in writing a review of products that I use, that I love or even that I hate (I'm writing one like that at the moment). I want to start focusing on cruelty free products since they will be the only ones I will buy.

Overall, I want to write more about many different things and I won't feel guilty about doing so because I have make-up related products lined up to be written about. I am also rearranging the bedroom so I can easily take outfit pictures in there and I have finally decided what I plan on sewing out of my gigantic fabric stash.

Hopefully, I will be able to manage this task and finally be a clutter free person one day (this year).

Perfume Challenge

Are you sick of all the challenges that I am trying to accomplish? I just feel that when I challenge myself it is more likely I will succeed!

I have way way too many perfume samples! So as a part of my 100 Days of Decluttering I have decided to go through my perfume samples and decide on which perfumes I like (and might buy in the future) and which I don't like (and won't ever buy). I think I have about seventy samples, and if I use five a week it will take me fourteen weeks just to test them all!

Every week I plan on using five samples and hopefully I will find some that I will love!

This week the samples that I will be using are:

Guerlain - Insolence
Mariah Carey - M
Hermès - Un Jardin Sur Le Toit
Dior - Hypnotic Poison
DSQUARED² - She Wood

Next Wednesday I will post about my thoughts about these perfumes and post my next five contestants!

Nail Polish Challenge

I've been a bit under the weather for the past weeks and just haven't had the energy to write! One morning I feel better and the next morning BAM I have a stuffed nose again! Horrible.

Since I am trying to do my best with my 100 Days of Decluttering Challenge I wanted to add another challenge that kind of follows it (can you tell I love challenges!) This one is about my nail polish stash, the other day I was reading this post by Louise over at Make Up Etc, and realized that I have as well way to many nail polishes but most of the time I just grab the usual one and use it.

I thought about what kind of nail polish challenge I should set for myself, I wanted to use up the polishes that I have and become better at using nail polishes.

So, the goals for my Nail Polish Challenge are
- Start cataloging my nail polishes by taking pictures and writing a Nail Polish type of post.
- Start using the Nail Stickers I own more and write about it.
- Not buying any new nail polish until I have finished the nail polishes that I do have.
- I am allowed to buy a new nail strengthener/top coat if I finish the ones that I own.
- Throw away nail polishes that I hate.

So, at the moment I own twenty-eight nail polishes, two nail strengthener and two topcoats!

100 Days of Decluttering Update #1

I was going to write and post this on Friday but things happen and this is being posted today! So, here is my first update for my 100 days of decluttering challenge.

What have I accomplished this week:

Selling
- My Memory Keeper's Daughter By Kim Edwards (You can buy it here)
- City of the Beasts By Isabel Allende (You can buy it here)

Thrown away
-Woolen Gap cardigan (had been eaten by moths and seriously shrunken during laundry)
-Random paper things that I don't need

Otherwise Accomplished
- Going through my make up drawers (I have 3) and sorting things.
- The mountain of laundry is getting smaller.
- Starting cooking food again instead of just getting take out.
- Finding things that I haven't used in a while and starting to use them again.

I am starting way to slow! But nothing is coming in so everything that goes out is a small victory! I feel like I am as well just mentally preparing for a big decluttering that hopefully will happen this week!

100 Days of Decluttering

As I mentioned on my 25 things before my 25th birthday list I wanted to do a 100 days of decluttering challenge. I plan on starting this challenge on 15th January which is a Tuesday until Thursday 25th April!
I am a cluttered person, unorganized and I never want to throw anything away. It can be problematic.

The biggest thing is that it bothers me tremendously. I don't need all of these things, I don't use all of these things. That is why I have decided to go on a mission. A mission of decluttering. I have one clear goal in sight, that all my personal belongings can be fitted into a 23 kg (50 lbs) suitcase! I am not talking about big things like my sewing machine or that kinda of things, I am talking about clothes, books, films, pens (I hoard pens), make-up, paint, shoes and that kind of things.

I have couple of mini-goals to accomplish my main-goal:

- Every week I will donate, trash or sell my clothing and books.
- Not buy anything except if I desperately need it
                  - Desperately in context of if I have no tights left and that kind of things.
- Every month I will put money into savings
-When ever I get my salary I will put what every I didn't spend the last month into savings, no
                   exceptions!
- Waste not, want not.
-Have to me more careful about trowing away food and just general wasting.

I have opened up a small shop on Storenvy where I will be posting 2-3 pieces of clothes weekly until I am back to owning normal amount of clothing. There you will as well be able to find some books and soon the things I make myself!

Every Friday I will do a small update on how I am going, sharing what I have trashed, put in the shop

If you have ever done anything like this please post the links so that I can read it!
