Review: Florena - Hand cream with organic camomile - for sensitive hands

I am one of those people that always has hand cream on me. I frequently have dry hands and I hate being out and about and having dry hands!

I got the Florena hand cream from a PinkBox, I haven't seen it anywhere being sold in stores (which is one of the reasons I stopped getting the PinkBox)

Back to the hand cream! It is marketed as being natural and without mineral oils and silicones, which is something I prefer my skin products to be without.

The ingredient list is still a bit on the longer side:
Aqua, isopropyl palmitate, glycerin, glyceryl stearate SE, cetyl alcohol, panthenol, octyldodecanol, sodium cetearyl sulfate, bisabolol, chamomilla recutta flower extract, propylene glycol, sodium acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, propylparaben, citronellol, benzyl alcohol, parfum.

There are couple of things that I don't like and the one that shocked me the most is isopropyl palmitate which is made out of palm oil! Something I would not expect in a natural product. I as well didn't like the fact it has methylparaben and propylparaben. Not at all something that should be in ANY product.

The hand creams tag line is "mild and soothing care with the power of nature" and on the back it says (translated from German):
The highly effective formula
  • with natural chamomile from controlled organic cultivation soothes sensitive and stressed hands and gives them intensive moisture.
  • with provitamin b5 nourishes the hands gently
  • absorbs quickly and provides a soft and supple skin feeling
I would say that it does the things that it claims it does. The hand cream is quite thick and a little goes a long way! It doesn't have a strong scent and it actually really reminds me of Nivea products, which isn't far fetched since they are under the same company.

Florena is a part of the Beiersdorf company. Which owns for example Nivea, Labello, La Prairie, and Beiersdorf isn't cruelty free.

So with all the bad ingredients, the fact that they aren't cruelty free and not even close to being as natural as they seem to claim I am pretty sure I wouldn't recommend this product.

Review: THERME Eduard Vogt - Orange and Linden Flowers Body Lotion - Balance

I got a 100ml (3.4 fl oz) sample of the Orange and Linden Blossoms Body Lotion in my August Pink Box (unboxing video) and I fell in love with it after I tried if for the first time.

It smells amazing, it isn't a greasy lotion, and after using it my skin feels amazing! Even before I finished the sample I was on the hunt for more of this body lotion.

On their not so great website, they say that Therme Eduard Vogt is:
  • Researched, developed, and produced in Switzerland for over 50 years
  • THERME is Eduard Vogt's premium body care line made from valuable plant-based ingredients
  • Three unique, subtle fragrances
  • Dermatologist tested
  • No animal testing
  • Free of parabens and mineral oils

In German this lotion is called Orangen & Lindenblüten Body Lotion and in French it is Body Lotion Orange & Tilleul.

On the back of the bottle it says (translated from German):

Balane Body Lotion with precious extracts of orange and linden blossoms nursed the skin and brings body and mind into balance. Shea butter makes your skin noticeably soft and elastic. Absorbs instantly and is not greasy. Dermatologically tested and pH skin neutral.

The biggest question for me is where I can buy more of this lotion and get some other products from Eduard Vogt because their website doesn't do this brand justice! I did e-mail then but so far no answer! Which is a shame because I really want to try their other products as well!

Review: Weleda - Pomegranate Regenerating Hand Cream - Firms and Renews

After I finally finished all my other hand moisturizers it was time to buy new ones, luckily I saw the Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Hand Cream on sale (two for the price of one, score!) and I jumped on it. I already have the Weleda Pomegranate Firming Serum (Reviewed here) so I really wanted to try something more from them. I love pomegranates! It is my favorite fruit and I just love how they look.

Anyways, back to this hand cream. On the Weleda homepage they describe this cream like this:

Keep skin looking youthful and firm using nature's best – Pomegranate Hand Cream

Hands showing signs of aging are nourished and revitalized by this skin-renewing Pomegranate Hand Cream. It’s a powerful regenerating treatment with potent antioxidants and rich essential fatty acids that restore youthful beauty to your hands.

This natural cream for aging skin contains organic pomegranate seed oil which is naturally rich in antioxidants that protect your hands from free radical damage and promote skin renewal. Organic shea butter, a soothing emollient packed with essential fatty acids, renders your skin silky smooth and lavishly moisturized.

Dermatological tests show that our Regenerating Pomegranate Hand Cream increases the skin’s moisture level by 34%* and reduces roughness by 9.1%** in just four weeks.

This skin-renewing natural cream nourishes the vibrant look and feel of your skin. Get a firm grip on your timeless beauty by using Pomegranate Hand Cream for soft, youthful hands.

Since I am only 24 years old, my skin isn't really aging so technically I wouldn't need this hand cream. However, I love it! My hands feel extremely soft and I don't find myself using this cream every time I wash my hands since my hands stay moisturized! At the moment I use this hand cream about 3-4 times a day since I have hands that just don't hold on to moisture. But with most moisturizers I need to use them after every time I wash my hands (so about 14 - 20 times a day).

What I don't like about the cream is the packaging, mine has now a tear in it and keeps on leaking a bit all over my bag! Super annoying!

It does take some time for the hand cream to be absorbed into my skin, but I don't mind that at all. I would definitely recommend this hand cream if you suffer from dry and rough hands or if you just want a nice hand cream!

Review: Naissance - Aloe Vera Gel

I am always on the hunt for some great aloe vera gels! I just want something that is as natural as possible. I use aloe vera gel mostly for my scalp when I want to add more volume to my hair! However this is not a post about that (I will definitely write hair post one day), this post will be about the Aloe Vera Gel from Naissance. I ordered this gel because I have been looking for aloe vera gel without Benzyl Alcohol and with as few extra ingredients as possible.

I thought I had hit the jackpot with this Aloe Vera Gel from Naissance the ingredients are phenoxyethanol, vegetable glycerine, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium hydroxide and Dinatrium EDTA.
One problem I find with the ingredients is that they are only written on the German amazon webpage, not on the UK webpage, not on their own webpage and not on the jar! So I can't really be sure that these are the right ingredients!

Not to many ingredients and they didn't look that bad at first glance. However, when I first opened the jar the stench of toothpaste came from the Aloe Vera Gel. They say that the gel should be without fragrances, colours, parabens or sulphates and that is just wrong. It still smells like toothpaste (nasty chemical minty) even though I have almost finished the jar!

The second thing is that this gel has the strangest texture, it doesn't feel like real Aloe Vera Gel, it feels too chemical and fake. It is hart to explain the texture but somehow it just feels wrong.

I will definitely NOT buy another jar from Naissance (or eNaissance) or anything else from them since I do not trust their company any more!

If you know about a good Aloe Vera Gel please let me know so I can order some :)

Review: Alba Botanica - Natural ACNEdote - Oil Control Lotion

Today I will be reviewing another skincare product, this one I had to order online and I did so because I really wanted to try some things from Alba Botanica!

Alba Botanica is a cruelty free company that have 100% vegetarian ingredients and  they never use parabens, sulfates, or phthalates in their products!

First I would like to mention what Alba Botanica believes this lotion will do:
Take your shine to the matte. In your corner: the ultimate, acne fighting, mattifying lotion with max strength 2% salicylic acid. This powerfully natural, botanically effective, oil-free formula keeps shine at bay while it weightlessly hydrates skin. Formulated with Salicylic Acid (naturally derived from Willow Bark Extract), zits are down for the count and you'll see a visibly clearer complexion. Never tight, never oily, skin is smooth, fresh and prepped for your day (or night). Dermatologist Tested. Non-comedogenic.
I don't have super shiny skin, but it is too shiny for my liking so I really wanted to try a mattifying lotion. I still want to try a mattifying lotion because the ACNEdote oil control lotion isn't mattifying at all.

The second claim the make is that the "zits are down for the count and you'll see a visibly clearer complexion".  I can't really confirm or deny this one since my skin has been odd for the past 3 months so I am not sure if the cream is helping or not. I have noticed my acne is quicker to go away again (but that could as well be down to other things I have been using).

At last, I think my biggest problem with this lotion is how it smells, it is revolting. I have to hold my breath when I put this on in the morning and the scent stays for some time!

The positive thing about this lotion is that my skin doesn't feel tight or oily, but that is about it.

I am going to continue to buy things from Alba Botanica but I think I will stay away from the ACNEdote collection!

Review: Weleda - Pomegranate Firming Serum - Renews and Tightens

As you might have noticed I am being absorbed into skincare! The reason why there is so much of skincare reviews on my blog at the moment is because I finished all my old skincare things couple of months ago. Therefore, I am buying all these new skincare products and I just need to share! You can read my previous skincare posts here.

Today I wanted to tell you about my serum. I have tried couple of other serum but always only samples and there wasn't one that I really liked! I had been eyeing the Pomegranate Firming Serum from Weleda for some time now but I never found a sample from them so I didn't know how it was. I still decided to go for it and I can tell you now that I don't regret it!

I want to start with the ingredients. I do look at the ingredients in all my beauty product and I am trying not to buy things that have ingredients I don't like. But with the Pomegranate Firming Serum I took a chance, the problem is that the second ingredient is Alcohol.

Water (Aqua), Alcohol, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Fruit Juice, Panicum Miliaceum (Millet) Seed Extract, Prunus Spinosa (Blackthorn) Wood Extract, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Fragrance (Parfum)*, Limonene*, Linalool*, Geraniol*, Citral*, Coumarin*.
* from natural essential oils

The serum still doesn't smell like alcohol and it hasn't dried out my skin. Quite the opposite, my skin looks and feels amazing!

On the Weleda homepage they say that:

As we get older, our skin seems to slow down. But what if we could help our skin continue to function at its best? We can, with this Pomegranate Firming Serum. Containing a blend of highly effective natural ingredients, Weleda Pomegranate Firming Serum is the ideal companion to your skin’s natural aging process.
Containing organic golden millet, rich in vitamin E, and precious organic pomegranate juice, rich in antioxidants, this intensive treatment actively aids your skin’s own ability to regenerate. Weleda Pomegranate Firming Serum helps reduce signs of aging while deeply moisturizing.
A skin essential, our Pomegranate Firming Serum is ideal for use before the Pomegranate Firming Day Cream and Pomegranate Firming Night Cream.
Dermatological tests shown that wrinkles are reduced by 29%* after 28 days and skin moisture levels increased by 39% after 30mn** when using Weleda Pomegranate Firming Serum.
*Measurement of depth of wrinkles with PRIMOS, test with 20 subjects between 41 – 65 years of age, application of the product twice daily for 28 days.
**Measurement of skin moisture with a corneometer, test with 23 subjects between 41 – 70 years of age, 30 minutes after application
I have been using the serum for about 2 months (only in the evening) and I can really say that my skin has gotten better! I had some annoying wrinkles by my temples and they are pretty much gone now! I don't have any dry patches and my skin hasn't started to be extra oily. I use it after I use the Migros - I am - Natural Cosmetics - Cornflower Toner and before I use the Kneipp - Aloe Vera Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin  and I really can say my skin has benefited from this serum.
I know that this serum is meant for people over forty, but I feel it is a great serum for me. It smells amazing and is absorbed quickly into the skin. It hasn't caused any breakouts, dryness or any other bad things. I will definitely keep on using the Pomegranate Firming Serum and I finally feel like I found a go to skincare product for me!

Review: Migros - I am Natural Cosmetics - Green Tea and Lemon Grass Scrub / Exfoliator

Another product from the I am Natural Cosmetics skincare line from Migros. Today I will be talking about their Green Tea and Lemon Grass Exfoliator (Scrub) for all skin types.

On the bottle it is both in German (Grüner Tee, Zitronengras - Peeling - Alle Hauttypen, sanfte & belebende Reiningun) and French (Thé Vert, Citronnelle - Peeling - tout types de peaux - nettoyage douceur stimulant)

On the back it says (translated from German):
Exfoliating particles with the finest bamboo particles and organic green tea and lemongrass extracts. Removes dead skin cells and impurities gently. The skin appearance is refined, the skin feels soft. Use one or twice per week.

As with most (if not all) of the items from the I am Natural Cosmetics line it is without mineral oils, artificial color, fragrance and preservatives.

I love the scent of this product, it smells exactly like lemon grass (a scent I LOVE), my skin feels really soft after using it and I would say more refined. The only problem I am having is that the bamboo particles are just too fine! I just feel like it doesn't scrub enough, I like to feel like I am scrubbing my face. This one just feels like I am lightly massaging my face with a hit of exfoliation. For the price of it (8.50 Franks/75 ml) I just wish for more of bamboo particles, just so that I can feel like I am really exfoliating my face!

So my search continues for an exfoliator that will be as good as the Yves Rocher - Clean Skin Scrub with Apricot Seed (Reviewed), but if you like a very gentle exfoliator I would recommend this one from Migros.

The I am Natural Cosmetics - Green Tea and Lemon Grass Scrub / Exfoliator  can be bought in Migros for 8.50 Franks (75ml)

Review: Migros - I am Natural Cosmetics - Cornflower Toner

Today I am reviewing another skincare product from Migros. As you might have noticed I am a big fan of their I am skincare line. Today I am going to talk about their Cornflower face toner. I might have picked it up because it has a purple cap, how I love purple.

The German name for this product is: Kornblume Gesichtstonic - normale & Mischhaut - belebende Frische and in French it is Bleuet Lotion Tonique - Peaux normales & mixtes - fraîcheur vivifiante.

The toner is made for normal and mixed skin and is without alcohol, mineral oils and synthetic colorants and perfumes. Fantastic!

On the back of the bottle it says (translated from German):
Invigorating face tonic with cornflower extract from organic cultivation.Tones normal and combination skin after cleaning. The vegetable glycerine protects the skin from drying out. The skin is revitalized and refreshed. How to use: Apply after cleaning with a cleanser, gently swipe the skin with the toner on a cotton pad.

First I want to talk about what I like about this toner, I like how it smells. It smells like flowers. I like that it doesn't dry out my skin. Every time I use it I love it more and more, just the smell of it, how my skin feels afterwards. My skin feels not too tight or dry it actually feels soft and ready to be moisturised. It doesn't make my eyes get watery, which is a big plus for my since I sometimes use it to remove my eye make-up.

I don't like the formula too much, it feels a bit soapy but it doesn't leave any residue on the skin. It might just be that I am used to toners with alcohol so this one just feels different.

This toner can be bought in Migros and is 7.50 Franks for 200ml!

They have as well a toner made for sensitive skin that has Roses in them so I might buy that one too and see which one I will like more!

Bisous.

Review: Kneipp - Aloe Vera Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin.

I have to mention before I start all these reviews of my new skincare products that these are products you can only buy in Migros since most of them are made by Migros. I am sorry for that but at the same time not really since I am trying to buy more of local products. I chose to do so because I am supporting the economy of Switzerland, there is much less shipping involved and it is a bit cheaper than having to order things from abroad all of the time. There is as well the bigger issue and that is that I know that these products are not tested on animals. So if you are living in Switzerland you might enjoy to see what I have picked out for my new skincare. But if you are not, you might be bored of these posts.

But without further ado, I would like to talk about my new evening face moisturizer! It took me forever to choose this one! I was really torn between couple of different types from Kneipp but in the end I chose the Aloe Vera one and I do not regret it! The name on the jar is of course in 3 different languages. German:  Aloe Vera Gesichtsbalsam - regeneriert normale/empfindliche Haut,  French: Aloe Vera Baume Pour Le Visage - régénère peaux normales/sensibles and Italian: Balsamo Per Il Viso - rigenera pelle normale/sensibile.

Before I start I would like to quickly mention the ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Dextrin, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cera Alba, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Retinyl Palmitate, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Parfum (Fragrance), Glyceryl Stearate, Potassium Palmitoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Caprylyl Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl

As you can see it is without parabens and mineral oil, but it has all these other oils such as Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba oil and Shea Butter (and that are just the three first ingredients, if you don't count water)

It is as well without any coloring and preservatives. Therefore this 50 ml glass jar should only be used for 3 months, that really isn't a problem since the jar is small.

The cream itself is quite think but is absorbed quickly into the skin, it is as well incredible smooth and soft. I feel it soothes and hydrates the skin after being out in the sun or after a bath incredibly well.

It doesn't really have a strong scent to it but it has an Aloe Vera hint to it. I don't have anything bad to say about this cream because in my opinion there isn't anything bad about it.

I might buy another jar of this cream after I finish this one (or in about 2 months) or I might try some of their other moisturisers.

Review: Vichy Normaderm - Deep Cleansing Gel

I wanted to talk about my favorite face cleanser at the moment. As you can see on the picture below I have been using it for quite a long time now and I really can say that  it is a product I love. I as well love the bottle since it stands out and you can see how much product there is left!

Vichy describes this product as:
Deep Cleansing Gel for clear skin with Salicylic Acid + Totarol + Eperuline. Purifies without drying and gently eliminates impurities. Immediately soothes skin.
It is a perfect description for the product since it is very accurate.

Where should I start with this product? My main thing about it is that it works, it really helps my skin be acne (almost) free. I really like the scent of this Deep Cleansing Gel, it somehow reminds me of the smell in the air after a good rain.

As you can see it has a pump and I usually use two pumps for my face and neck and work it into my dry skin first, I then quickly wet my hands and keep on massaging my face in circular motions. When the water is added the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel starts to foam up a bit.

It foams nicely without being too foamy and it is easily washed off and doesn't leave any residue on my skin. My skin just feels great after using the Cleansing Gel, it just feels clean.

I would recommend this to anyone that has sensitive acne prone skin, sadly it isn't cruelty free since it is owned by L'Oreal. It is sold in many pharmacies or you can buy it online from Vichy for $18.

Review: Clinique - All About Eyes

I wanted to talk about this eye cream before I would finish it. It is the first ever eye cream I have ever bought and I love it. On the Clinique webpage the cream is described in this way:
Lightweight eye cream diminishes the appearance of eye puffs, darkness and fine lines. Non-creep, cream/gel formula actually helps hold eye makeup in place. For use morning and night, both under eyes and on lids.
I want to talk about the positive things about this cream before I talk about the negative things. The positive things are that I feel that this cream helps with the dryness I have around my eyes. It as well gives my skin as well a matte hue, which is great since my eyelids can be quite oily. As with most of the Clinique products it is 100% fragrant free! All in all, I have nothing but positive things to say about the product itself.

The negative things are not about the product itself but the price and Cliniques animal testing policy. For a 0.5 oz (15 ml) you are paying $30. $30!! That is just crazy for such a small amount, it does last but, seriously, it is just way to much! Secondly, Clinique tests on animals and I have promised myself not to buy any more cosmetics that have been tested on animals.

Clinique - All About eyes -$30/0.5oz

P.S. Do you recommend any cruelty free eye cream?

Review: Yves Rocher - Clean Skin Scrub with Apricot Seed

I wanted to write about my main face exfoliator, I have been using this one for about 5 years! Yes, FIVE years! It is one of these things I always buy, it is reliable and just smells amazing. It doesn't foam (which I like) but it is smooth enough to glide easily over the face without compromising the exfoliation.

As I mentioned before, the scent of this is amazing. It is sweet but not overly sweet and it doesn't stay after you have washed it of your face. The kernels in the scrub are made out of apricot kernels, they do a really good job of exfoliating the dead skin away. The bad thing about the kernels is because they don't dissolve I keep on finding couple on my skin after I wash the scrub off. It isn't that annoying but I sometimes find them in random places (inside my ear, nostrils etc).

Clean Skin Scrub with Apricot Seed - Dry
Clean Skin Scrub with Apricot Seed  - Wet
I would definitively recommend this face scrub for anyone that is looking for a good face exfoliator.

Review: Elizabeth Arden - Color Intrigue Effects - 01 Poppy Cream

I have had this lipstick for some time now and I can't decide if I really like it or not. The colour is great but the formula feels somehow heavy. I think the problem I am having with it is that I like it but I don't love it.

The great things about this lipstick is the great colour, the formula is smooth and the lipstick isn't sticky at all! The not so great things about this lipstick is how heavy the formula feels on the lips and how easily it smears everywhere. The smearing is annoying for me, I can't pout without getting lipstick on my nose!

I can literary not drink anything have anything touch my lips without the lipstick getting messy! I really believe that is the only reason for me not loving this lipstick!

I am going to keep on using this lipstick but I won't repurchase it when I have finished it.

Review: Gena Laboratories - Healthy Hoof Intensive Protein Treatment

I have to say that this cream is one of my favorite creams for my nails and cuticles. I can't say that there is anything that I don't love about this cream.

The cream has quite thick consistency and gets absorbed quickly into the skin, it isn't oily. I can easily rub it into my cuticles and nails and keep on working couple of seconds later. I probably use it several times a day!

I love how this cream smells, the scent isn't really strong which is good. I really believe that this cream helps with my dry cuticles and  might even help strengthen my nails! The jar isn't big but you don't need a lot of the cream for all ten cuticles and nails so the jar lasts for a long time!

I did send Gena Laboratories e-mail asking if they were cruelty free but I haven't received an answer. There wasn't anything about it on their webpage and they aren't on any lists. If they aren't cruelty free I won't buy another jar of this product!

Update:
I got an answer from Gena Laboratories and they do not test on animals and do not buy raw material from companies that do! Amazing!

Review: Yves Rocher - Sheer and Shine Lipstick - Gelée Litchi

Review: Yves Rocher - Sheer and Shine Lipstick - Gelée Litchi

I wanted to start writing about the make-up I have and slowly decide if it is something I want to keep or throw away. The Sheer and Shine Lipstick from Yves Rocher is a lipstick that has been in my maybe pile for some time now.

The thing is, I love the texture of this lipstick and I think it looks amazing as a swatch but on my lips the tone just doesn't suit me. Neutral colours just aren't my thing. The colour that I chose was the Gelée Litchi, I think that I will buy a new lipstick but in a different colour (maybe the Gelée cassis)

The Sheer and Shine Lipstick is amazingly smooth and doesn't dry the lips at all! It is an amazing lipstick but just not the colour for me, therefore it will go into the bin!

Review: Yves Rocher - Intensive Moisture Mask Botanical Hydration

I love Yves Rocher and I have written several posts about them, I especially love their skincare range. My skin is very sensitive and luckily all of the Yves Rocher skincare range doesn't give my dry patches and hives (I am looking at you Body Shop).

I have used the Intensive Moisture Mask for now about five years! Yes, it has my five year stamp! It is really the thing I go to for my face! I as well use it on my dry patches and it helps a lot!

I usually put quite a lot of the mask on my face before I take a shower and when I step into the shower my skin has almost absorbed it all! I rinse the rest of during the shower and my face is amazingly soft and re-hydrated!

The mask feels almost cool to the touch and it is super refreshing, it smells as well really fresh. I don't really know how to explain the scent but it isn't overpowering but it just adds to how refreshing the mask actually is.

The ingredients of the masks are

All in all I would definitively recommend this face mask to anybody looking for a re-hydrating, refreshing face mask. I use mine twice a week both during winter and summer and it is something I buy again every time I run out!

Review: Bourjois Paris Smoky Eyes - 06 Violet Romantic

I might be a little bit biased to this eye shadow trio. Why? Because it is purple and my all time favorite colour is purple and  therefore I just tend to love things a little bit more when they are purple.

I had been lusting for the Bourjois Paris Smokey Eyes for some time, but I never was really sure if I needed more eye shadows. After looking at it almost every time I went to the make up store I decided to go for it! Not so shockingly I picked the shade 06 Violet Romantic.

At first glance the colours were amazing. I really was looking forward to such a bright purple hue. Sadly I was disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the colours are great. I like the eye shadows I was just expecting so much more from how they looked, both from the advertisements and from how the eye shadow itself looks in the little box. The dark shade, is more black than purple and the medium and light shades are almost identical.

I will definitely keep on using them but not as a statement eye shadow like I was expecting. I don't think I will be using the little brush that comes with it and I do think that that little brush is both a waste of space and material.

All in all, even with some flaws I do like the eye shadows. I think I just went in with too much hope of super pigmented purple eye shadow that would rock my world but in reality it is just a normal eye shadow that can easily be used during the day.

I didn't find any store in the US that sells this colour but boots in UK does sell it.

Review: Biotherm - Baume Corps - Oil Therapy - Nurti-Replenishing Body Treatment With Apricot Oil

Since I have already quite a lot of make-up and other sort of things I wanted to review everything so I have it around for whenever I want to mention it. Today I want to review my other lotion. Yes, it is true. I pretty much just use two different lotions. I am not a lotion slut, I stick with my lotion until it is finished.

I love the scent of this lotion, it has apricot oil in it and you can smell it. My skin is as well super smooth after I use it.

The lotion is quite thick but it gets absorbed quickly into the skin.

There are couple of things that I don't like about this lotion and they are all in the ingredients list.

According to the webpage of Biotherm the ingredients are:

Three precious oils for the most precious skin:

- Musk Rose Oil: Omega 3 & 6, with REGENERATING and FORTIFYING properties
- Passion Flower Oil: Omega 3 & 6, with NOURISHING and EMBELLISHING properties
- Apricot Oil: Rich in essential fatty acids, with SOFTENING and SMOOTHING properties

In the real world these are the ingredients:

Yes, that is a really long ingredients list and it scares me. I am not sure if I will buy this again, I've finished over half of the bottle. I think I'll probably try to find something else with a much shorter ingredients list.

The Biotherm Lotion can be bought from amazon for $37.50

Review: Yves Roches - Tribal Attitude Lip Gloss

I love going to the Yves Rocher stores and just browsing around. This time when I went in they had the Tribal  Attitude their summer limited edition make-up and I just really wanted this lip gloss. You can see the entire Tribal Attitude collection here

The lip gloss applicator has an unique shape, the shape is very useful for putting on the lip gloss. The follow the curve of the lower lip perfectly.

I chose this lip gloss because I really like the light shimmer of it. It feels super smooth on the lips and not at all sticky (I hate sticky lip glosses). The only thing I don't like so much about this lip gloss is it doesn't stay very long on the lips but does colour everything the lips touch! I've been leaving trail of lip glossed glasses and spoons everywhere around the apartment and I can't blame it on Mr. Handsome when there are lip gloss stains on them!

As you can see on the swatches the colour is very raspberry like, the lip gloss is supposedly supposed to have raspberry extract in it but since I can't find the ingredient list anywhere I have no idea if that is true or not. I love the little glitters it has, it gives the lip gloss that extra shimmer without going overboard.

All in all I am very happy with this lip gloss and I will definitely use it often.

Review: St. Ives - Hydrating Vitamin E Daily Moisturizer

Since I wanted to review all my make-up why shouldn't I as well review my lotions, body washes and that kind of things!

I've wanted to review this lotion for some time now, I've had this bottle (18 fl oz, 532 ml) for almost a year now and it's not even close to be finished.

I only use this lotion after I shower and it makes my skin super smooth! It doesn't have a strong smell, I can't stand when my lotions are too scented.

There are some things I don't like about it, it takes some time for the cream to be fully absorbed into the skin and I feel really sticky until it is fully absorbed.

I don't like that it has Mineral Oils in it and that is probably why I wont buy it again when I finish the bottle.

It doesn't have any Parabens and Phthalates and it says on the bottle that the moisturizer is 100% natural, has not been tested on animals and does not contain any animal ingredients. Furthermore, the bottle is made out of 20% post-consumer recycled material.

You can buy a 21 oz bottle at Walgreens for $5.29!

The good is trying to outweigh the bad but the next lotion I want to buy will be even better! Any ideas what I should buy?

Bisous!

P.S. Did you remember to put on sunscreen today?
